Children’s Services
LIFE Incorporated provides the following services under the Children’s Redesign System:
Community Based Supports:
This service is offered in both our children’s center and in a variety of community based settings. It can be provided one-to-one or in within a group.
Staff providing this service are at least 18 years of age, high school graduates (or a GED) and have at least six months supervised experience working with children who have developmental disabilities.
They have also passed competency coursework through the Department of Health and Welfare.
This service is designed to provide individuals with the opportunity to engage in age appropriate activities, integrate into their communities and focuses on the development of skills in the following areas:
- Activities of Daily Living
- Mobility
- Sensory Motor
- Communication
- Socialization
- Relationship Building
Behavioral Intervention:
Behavioral Intervention services focus on utilizing evidenced based treatment methods to decrease maladaptive behaviors while developing adaptive skills in the areas of communication,
social skills, and skills needed for activities of daily living. This service is offered in the home, in the community, and at our children’s center.
We currently offer Behavioral Intervention on a one-to-one basis and do not provide this service in a group setting.
Staff providing Behavioral Intervention have at least a bachelor’s degree in the human services field, one year experience working with kids who have developmental disabilities,
and have completed Department approved competency coursework with special focus on Child Development, Applied Behavioral Analysis, and Learning Theory.
In addition, LIFE Incorporated is able to provide Family Education and Training Services and Interdisciplinary Training.
